If you arrive by TRAIN you are close to the Central Station “Santa Maria Novella” (SMN).
Leave the STATION and take the new Leonardo T1 TRAM at the “VALFONDA / STAZIONE” stop (track 2 / direction OSPEDALE CAREGGI).

Get off at the second stop, called “STROZZI / FALLACI”.

By Car, get here and park right away.

If you arrive by CAR, Hotel La Fortezza is just outside the limited traffic areas (ZTL) and you can stop with your car right in front of the hotel entrance.

On the hotel grounds, there is a convenient PRIVATE CAR PARK which is available for € 20,00 per night.
This way your car will always be within reach and you can get around at any time.

Alternatively in the nearby streets there are public car parks which you’ll pay for on the spot (parking metre).
The fees vary depending on how long you stay.



By Plane, a few kilometers from the Airport

If you come by PLANE, the Amerigo Vespucci (FLR) Florence Airport is only 7 KM far from Hotel La Fortezza.

You can reach Hotel La Fortezza quickly with one of the TAXIS that are available H24/7 from the rank which is right in front of the airport exit.. . [ SEE THE RATES ]

Otherwise you can arrive in 30 minutes by TRAM.

Catch the T2 Line “Unità” direction and get off at the ALAMMANI stop at the Train Station.
There you must change, catch the T1 line “Careggi” direction and get off at the STROZZI / FALLACI stop.
There you find Hotel La Fortezza just 100 meters from the tram stop.
